HTC Corporation, formerly High Tech Computer Corporation, is a corporation based in Taiwan. They are the manufacturers of smartphones. HTC originally used the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile for their smartphones. But, in 2009, they started using the Android operating system.
The Open Handset Alliance is a group of cell phone manufacturers and mobile network operators that focuses on the advancement of the Android. HTC is a member of the Open Handset Alliance.
The first mobile phone released by HTC with an Android operating system is the HTC Dream. It was also the first phone that used the Android mobile device platform. It was marketed by T-Mobile and was called T-Mobile G. It is a 3G smartphone with an operating system designed by Google and the hardware was designed by HTC.
The Verizon HTC Droid Incredible for sale was released by Verizon Wireless last April 29, 2010. It was priced for $200.00 with a 2 year contract. The HTC Droid Incredible runs the Android 2.1 with software made by HTC’s Sense enhanced version. According to some reviews, this was the best Android phone that Verizon is selling.
The new HTC Sense is different from the old version of HTC Sense. It was called Sense UI. The HTC Hero was the mobile phone that had the first HTC Sense UI. The enhanced version of the HTC Sense is trying to improve your interaction with other people. The new HTC application is the HTC Friend Stream. It has Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. It also has Leap, which allows access to all home screens at the same time.
The HTC Droid Incredible measures 4.63 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide by 0.47 inches thick. It weighs 4.59 ounces. The screen measures 3.7 inches diagonally and has WVGA resolution.
Another feature that makes the HTC Droid Incredible one of the best smartphones available is the 8 megapixel camera. It also has a dual LED flash. The mobile phone can take pictures indoors and outdoors with good colour and sharp images.
According to the users of the HTC Droid Incredible, with Verizon as the network, they had a good quality call. No complaints on the audio quality and no dropped calls. There is also a Skype application available in this mobile phone.
Regarding the performance, it has one of the fastest and most responsive in the Android devices. It has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512 MB ROM and 512 MB RAM.
