There are many major CDMA networks in U.S.; Verizon is also one of them. CDMA technology is different when compared to GSM networks. Verizon is competing with other rivals such as Alltel, Cricket, Sprint PCS, and U.S. Cellular. The 3G is supported by Verizon in their CDMA network with EV-DO Rev A. $8 billion is being invested by the Verizon Wireless annually to widen its reach all over the country annually.
